BIPP training 2010

Recognising areas where you need to brush up or learn new skills is an essential part of being a successful professional photographer.

Attending a training course can allow you to expand your business by branching into a new area of photography giving you something more to offer your clients.

BIPP Training offers intensive one or two day courses and masterclasses, run by experts in their field. The days cover a wide range of photographic disciplines as well as business skills. The courses are designed for professional photographers who will be receiving income from their photography.

Even the most experienced photographer may benefit from a refresher course. Gaining new ideas and learning about new techniques can really enhance your business.

There are a variety of BIPP Training Courses taking place this year covering many different categories from Weddings and Portraiture to Trackside Motorsport.

Portraiture Masterclass with Saraya Cortaville FBIPP
Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Members £150

Saraya Cortaville was the first female photographer to gain a Fellowship with the BIPP in Studio Portraiture and currently runs a successful studio in High Barnett, London. Spend the day with Saraya covering aspects of both traditional and modern portraiture. The day will be part seminar, part practical so please bring your camera.

Weddings Masterclass with Simon John FBIPP
Fareham, Hampshire
Members £150

An intensive masterclass aimed at photographers who already have experience of photographing weddings. Going through more advanced shots (both technically and creatively), Simon will illustrate how to produce stunning images within the context of a pressurised environment. A professional model will be used on the day giving you the opportunity to practice what you have learned.

Commercial (Product) Photography with Alan Stone FBIPP
Leeds, West Yorkshire
Members £100

In a busy working studio environment and using proven commercial photography studio practice, Alan will demonstrate the lighting techniques required to produce a range of quality images for the commercial and advertising markets. The course is particularly suited to new and Affiliate Members working towards their Licentiate Qualification, students or graduates seeking real world experiences and working photographers from other sectors looking to extend their professional skills towards commercial and advertising photography.

Portraiture with Llewellyn Robins Hon FBIPP
Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Members £100

A day with Llewellyn Robins Hon FBIPP covering many aspects of both traditional and modern portraiture with an emphasis on lighting, both artificial and daylight. There will be practical demonstrations in the studio and on location, and Llewellyn will be demonstrating poses and grouping which he has found to be successful during his 30 plus years of running a successful portrait studio.

Weddings with Paul Callaghan FBIPP
Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Members £100

Paul Callaghan FBIPP is the only BIPP Wedding Fellow in the Republic of Ireland. Paul will start the day by running through a typical wedding showing the special techniques needed at each stage including the posing of the Bride and Groom, groups and the correct use of flash as a main or fill source, together with the use of reflectors. The afternoon will then be spent on location with a model. Paul will also discuss presenting your work and the services you offer. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask Paul questions throughout the day.
